Basil is a very special cat, if fact he's so amazing I wrote a book about him called Basil the Bionic Cat, he even has his own website; www.bionicbasil.com. He is a true inspiration. He has eyes like emeralds, a nose so pink it's the colour of candy floss and fur so soft it feels like silk.

He'd had four homes in two years when I got him and wasn't used to other cats but he soon settled in and made himself right at home. The last owner reluctantly had to give him up as he kept going over to the neighbours house where there was a large outdoor aviary and he liked to sit and watch the birds. The neighbours didn't like this and asked for him to be removed, so the previous owner decided that it was best for Basil that he found a new home before something happened to him.

Basil loves cuddles and sits with me on my lap while I do my writing, as if he's checking that the story is ok and I've made no spelling mistakes! He is also a total purr monster, he sounds like a baby chainsaw ticking over.

His favourite toys are a feather wand and his kitty play tent, which he hides in, when he wants to play. He is very vocal too, and meows really loudly especially when he's hungry.

Basil is a top cat in my book and hopefully you'll agree!
